Out of the hundreds and thousands of advertisements that are shown everyday on television, the one that struck my eyes was that of IDEA Mobile. And the question was rightly asked,” Has technology made us weak and lazy?

Over the years the technology has developed so brilliantly that today it controls the whole world. Almost everything in this world is technology based. So much so that now even robots are being made to do the work of humans. Now a person can just sit on the couch the whole day, order the machines to do his work and do nothing himself

However, such was not the case in old days. Earlier, people used to do most of their work themselves. They used to do a lot of physical work. Children mostly used to play outdoor games.Hence they were physically and mentally more fit than the children today are. Earlier, since there were no means of transport and communication, people could not contact or meet their relatives for many days. Moreover, earlier the whole office work was done on papers.

But the world has changed now. Now we have machines to do much of our work. Now we have ovens to cook food, washing machines for washing clothes, television for entertainment. The children today don’t go outdoor to play games because they are stuck to playstations or computers. Moreover, the means of transport and communication like aeroplanes, cars, mobiles and internet have made the world a short place. Now-a-days, all the office work is done on computers.

Technology is there in each and every field and the addiction of humans towards it has made them weak and lazy.

On the other side we can say that this development of the technology is positive.It has made life easy and secure. Moreover, its use saves energy and time. A work that earlier took many days to complete can now be completed within a few minutes. It has helped the nations to develop faster. Internet has brought a boom in technology. Each and every thing is possible through internet. Technology has made the world fast and has connected the whole world.

So, in my opinion, technology is a boon if we use it properly but a bane if we make a wrong use of it. As from the example of the IDEA advertisement that I quoted earlier, we should know how to use technology properly. Even in that advertisement it was shown that if we have a mobile, then why to talk while standing at one place. “JUST WALK WHEN YOU TALK.”
