Is my India still shinig??

This thought often tickles my mind provoking me to think on it. Some thoughts give a positive outcome and some negative. But if I draw a conclusion, I’ll find that negative aspect; Reasons being very simple and right.

60 years of independence, and we are still interdependent on other countries. Why can’t we stand on our own legs and become a golden bird again? Well, this golden bird was caged by Britishers long ago and now it is being enslaved by corruption, terrorism, poverty, illiteracy etc. These are the evils at hand, nationwide. Besides these, different societies, communities are facing different social problems like the dowry system, child marriage still prevailing in the Rajasthani communities, female foeticide still practiced in Haryana, Delhi, UP, Bihar and Punjab regions.

Every new second, a catastrophe fears the minds of the people. Walking in the streets, resting in the park, going for the movies, at work, at home, at school…where is, exactly, we secure?

Talking of the Mumbai attacks, 10 people came and left 10 million people in astonishment.

Well educated people are sitting at home free hands, jobless! And people being hired on jobs are getting corrupted

Women are still well thought-out of low standards and hence they are deprived of their rights.

Where some people are eating enormously, more than half of the population sleeps starving on the footpath. Within this figure, there are lots many who don’t even know what food is.

People spend thousands of money in buying their outfits, watching movies, buying articles which are actually not required but rebuff to give even ten rupees to the charity.

And we think we are DEVELOPING? How can we think of being developed when we are not even in the developing condition?

Therefore I strongly feel that my India is not shining despite it has the capacity to. Young people can help a lot. Besides, if this feeling comes in the hearts of each and every Indian that they are the people who are responsible, the scenario can change dramatically.

Let us make our India golden again. Let it shine like the brightest diamond in the crown of this world.

Thank you!!
